The Largest Landing Area in the UK
Since 1962 the Army Parachute Association has had its home at Netheravon Airfield - the longest continually operating airfield in the world. Our PLA (Parachute Landing Area) is the biggest in the UK.
Our modern Cessna Caravans; Hound and Badger provide an exceptional lift capacity. APA staff are committed to running an efficient program getting jumpers in the air quickly, safely and often.
Heated and Padded Packing Area
No other dropzone in the world has an indoor packing area/hangar like this. Our huge hanger has thick padded mats to protect your gear and your knees, heating to combat the British weather, mock ups to practise exits and manifest screens to make sure you don't miss your load. This photo shows only a quarter of the hanger!
Our classrooms all have PowerPoint facilities and seating for groups large or small.
60 Sets of Student Rigs
We have a huge stock of static line and student equipment. Our goal is to ensure that no student has to wait for a rig and can complete multiple jumps in a day, resulting in safe, fast progression.
Free Campsite and New Bunkhouse now available!
We have recently installed a brand new bunkhouse for our members to use. It's free for military members and a small daily fee for all other members.
Camping is free for club members. There is a shower and toilet block on the campsite. Motorhomes and campervans are also welcome to "overnight" on this site.
The Drop Shop
The Drop Shop is our on site store selling everything from skydiving basics like hook knives and goggles to the latest cameras, altimeters and dytters. Our prices reflect our status as a not for profit organisation.
Café and Bar
Our not-for-profit, comfortable café sells hot and cold food all day long. In the evening, you can watch the sunset load while enjoying a cold beer and a warm meal and later watch the day's videos on our PlayOn system. On "Party Nights", we move to the Skydiver Bar for a more festive atmosphere.

‘The Caravan course is an excellent introduction to turbo prop handling and performance, delivered by experienced instructors at an excellent training airfield with no ATC delays & in house examiners. Much more than an overgrown 172 and a great step up for a GA pilot’
