Static Line

- Choosing static line (RAPS) means you will complete a solo jump giving you a unique sense of personal achievement, knowing that you did it all by yourself!
- You will be given a minimum of 6 hours ground training during a two day practical and theoretical course, including lessons on safety procedures, exiting the aeroplane in the correct body position, controlling the parachute and landing safely on the parachute landing area.
- The jump is from 3,500ft using a Ram Air (rectangular) parachute – an advanced gliding parachute similar to those used by experts but designed for the novice jumper.
- On your first jump, the parachute will open automatically as you exit from the aircraft. Guidance will be given during the canopy descent via a radio.
- If you think skydiving is the sport for you, successful completion of this course puts you on the first step of the progression ladder. You could be qualified to do a freefall jump by jump number six.
- The age limitations are 16 to 55 years and a reasonable level of physical fitness is required.
