The British Army’s parachuting centre of excellence

Our skydiving club is run by the Army Parachute Association on Salisbury Plain, and we welcome military and civilian jumpers alike.

If you have never jumped before, why not come and experience the thrill of a Tandem Skydive from 13,000ft? For those who would rather go it alone, we run Static Line and Accelerated Freefall (AFF) courses on Fridays and on Weekends.

If you are already a qualified Skydiver, then come along to the variety of events and competitions we run throughout the year. We regularly host events for a multitude of disciplines, aimed at all levels of ability for Canopy Piloting, Formation Skydiving, Load Organised Big-Ways, Wingsuit Flocks, Free-Flying….and more!

In addition to operating our own fleet of Cessna Caravans, we frequently have other aircraft available to jump, including Skyvans, Islanders and occasional novelty aircraft. Keep an eye on the Events Calendar for upcoming events, both skydiving related and social club activities.

If you would like more information about skydiving, please contact Robin Durie or Tanya Corbett in the APA office, and we would be delighted to guide you in the right direction.

*On Friday 19th September, the APA will be running a night jump program. It is open to all APA members with B Licence and above. The brief (mandatory) will be held at 7pm in Classroom 1. If it is your first night jump, you will do a solo exit from 3,500ft.For your second jump, you can jump from max altitude, in formation (if you wish). It is normal that there is scope to complete two jumps in an evening, but obviously no guarantee. As usual, weather conditions dictate what we can accomplish during the evening. The cost is £30 per jump for civilian members and £20 for military. Cylume (glowing night sticks) will be provided. There is no need to register, please just arrive on Friday if you wish to jump. APA membership is mandatory.

*Cessna are currently assessing the Hound to see if any damage was sustained following last weekend. We may not know the outcome until next week which means we may only have the Fox for the coming weekend. If that is the case, we will be wheels up at 8 amboth days and will alternate punter and tandem lifts to make sure everyone gets their jumps in. As soon as we know the outcome, we will post it here. Thanks.
