It's Never Too Early to Learn

Did you know you can start learning to skydive as early as 16 - with mum or dad's permission that is!

For anyone beginning to learn a new sport, particularly one as extreme as skydiving, the earlier you start the better.  Here at Skydive Netheravon our weekends are spend teaching many of our country's Cadet Forces who come from far and wide, some attached to schools, other from independent cadet groups.  All eager to learn something different than their friends, maybe they want to overcome a fear of heights or simply just the idea of jumping out a plane!

How fortunate we are to have some of the best military instructors around here at the APA.  Most of them have done simply hundreds of jumps from war zones to fun jumping.  Their experience means that they have a great knowledge to pass on to the next generation, they are trained in the latest technology and their safety record is second to none.  Who knows, some of those young people they teach may be part of our armed forces in coming years, helping protect what we all all take for granted - the stunning countryside we live in.

If you're going to learn to skydive then learning over the Wiltshire countryside can't be too much of a hardship.

Here's to the next generation of skydivers, whether for profession, sport or just the sheer fun of it, learning with the best is always the right way.  It take just one jump to start that ball rolling!

  • “I had a truly awesome experience yesterday, in every way.  I was absolutely terrified but felt totally invincible afterwards and I even fell in love with your cameraman, Mike!  Cam was lovely too and if I decide to do it again it would have to be with him.  It was all very professional, from start to finish. They were a great bunch and I will recommend this to anyone and everyone.  I jumped for the MS Trust and secured £723 in sponsorship so far with promises of more to come.  It is great to feel alive again.”

Highly recommend anyone doing a jump, to do it here. Would definitely consider doing another skydive off the back of this experience despite my fear of heights and flying. Brilliant day and life experience. Thank you."
