Happy Sustainable Resolutions!

Sustainability seems to have been the watchword over the last few years; whether in business, eco-systems or just personally. So here we are, already in mid-January and with Christmas a distant memory.  How many of us have already broken those well intentioned New Year resolutions?

Resolutions though should be realistic, something we can see through logically without getting too stressed whilst reaching our ultimate goal. Trying to lose three stone in the first month isn’t realistic!

There are other types of resolutions too: Maybe you hanker after climbing a mountain or conquering a fear, such as spiders or a fear of heights for instance?

Of course here at Netheravon, heights play a major part in the lives of every skydiver.  Skydiving starts high and gets higher and the more you do the higher your confidence!

You may have always fancied skydiving but the idea of jumping out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft scares you because you are 13,000ft off the ground!  It’s a challenge you set yourself, but one that can be achieved when logic comes into play.  Start by coming up to the drop zone on a flying day, watch what happens; talk to the instructors; see all those skydivers coming into land and best of all see the smile on their faces and the increased confidence in their persona – it’s truly amazing to watch.

This could be your year to overcome any fears and gain a confidence you never knew you had. Start with a tandem jump, strapped to a highly trained military instructor. Jump over the stunning Wiltshire countryside where you can see the Solent and the Wiltshire White horses; and if you get the bug and want to do something more – train to jump solo. There are no limitations to what you can do. Whatever you do in 2017, make it realistic and sustainable.

  • “I had a truly awesome experience yesterday, in every way.  I was absolutely terrified but felt totally invincible afterwards and I even fell in love with your cameraman, Mike!  Cam was lovely too and if I decide to do it again it would have to be with him.  It was all very professional, from start to finish. They were a great bunch and I will recommend this to anyone and everyone.  I jumped for the MS Trust and secured £723 in sponsorship so far with promises of more to come.  It is great to feel alive again.”

  • "First charity tandem skydive done here last Saturday. Despite being extremely scared, the instructors made me feel completely at ease and in safe hands. Highly recommend anyone doing a jump, to do it here. Would definitely consider doing another skydive off the back of this experience despite my fear of heights and flying. Brilliant day and life experience. Thank you."
