The Inevitable 'Bucket List'

This is the time of the year when we start thinking about the challenges of the year before us - or maybe even something we want to challenge ourselves too in the coming months.

Skydiving is a sport at an all-time high (forgive the pun), and here at Netheravon, 2016 has been a bumper year for those learning to jump for the first time.   We have had a variety of people of all ages, from all over the country skydiving with us.  Whether it’s been a Tandem jump for fun or charity; a bunch of cadets doing their first Static Line or those learning the real art of skydiving, jumping solo and eventually earning their skydiving licence, the year has been full of activity and challenges. Skydivers with real experience under their helmets have gone on to learning the art of Wingsuit flying or freefall with maybe their first competitions being done and a medal or two being won.  All of which is exhilarating and challenging at the same time!

The beauty of learning to skydive in the UK, especially with the Army Parachute Association is that the training and safety is second to none. Nothing is left to chance and you won't be allowed to take unacceptable risks.

So if you are eager to start something new, need to challenge yourself or simply want to continue to even greater heights, then just one phone call will secure you a place on a course that can change your life and make you see the world from a different angle!

Just think that this time next year you might be a seasoned skydiver looking to scale even greater heights. Now where’s that bucket list …..? Happy Christmas.

  • “I had a truly awesome experience yesterday, in every way.  I was absolutely terrified but felt totally invincible afterwards and I even fell in love with your cameraman, Mike!  Cam was lovely too and if I decide to do it again it would have to be with him.  It was all very professional, from start to finish. They were a great bunch and I will recommend this to anyone and everyone.  I jumped for the MS Trust and secured £723 in sponsorship so far with promises of more to come.  It is great to feel alive again.”

  • "First charity tandem skydive done here last Saturday. Despite being extremely scared, the instructors made me feel completely at ease and in safe hands. Highly recommend anyone doing a jump, to do it here. Would definitely consider doing another skydive off the back of this experience despite my fear of heights and flying. Brilliant day and life experience. Thank you."
