With the London Marathon looming large in the calendar, many roads, pavements and lanes around the country are filled with runners training for the big day.  Whether they are elite athletes or fun runners, they are all on a mission to prove something or to raise something.

Looking through the events on our forthcoming skydiving calendar this year, I was amazed to find that we already had over 600 people booked in for charity skydiving alone, raising funds for their respective charity.  That’s some feat and shows how much people care about the world around them.

People decide to skydive for many reasons.  Some of them have a bucket list and need to tick it off, some have a fear of heights or flying that need to be conquered and some want to do it just because they can!  Whatever the reason most people conquer their apprehension because they don’t want to let their charity down.

Here at the APA we have been skydiving for over 50 years.  Our Instructors are all serving or ex-military and are the best there is.  Charity days are fun and our tandem instructors make sure their 'passengers' get the best day possible.  You can even wear your charity t-shirt on top of your jumpsuit, so that you get more awareness out there.

So if you want to fundraise for your specific charity, or you are the charity itself; whether solo or in a group, come and jump with us at the Army Parachute Association.  There’s a sense of doing something together for the benefit of others not so fortunate that we love.

We will make sure you get the most from your fundraising event as well as give you a sense of achievement and a memorable day.  Our skydivers are experts when it comes to flying high for charity so give us a call and we’ll help you jump for your special cause.

  • “I had a truly awesome experience yesterday, in every way.  I was absolutely terrified but felt totally invincible afterwards and I even fell in love with your cameraman, Mike!  Cam was lovely too and if I decide to do it again it would have to be with him.  It was all very professional, from start to finish. They were a great bunch and I will recommend this to anyone and everyone.  I jumped for the MS Trust and secured £723 in sponsorship so far with promises of more to come.  It is great to feel alive again.”

Highly recommend anyone doing a jump, to do it here. Would definitely consider doing another skydive off the back of this experience despite my fear of heights and flying. Brilliant day and life experience. Thank you."
